Powering
net zero

We're building a UK-wide network of gigawatt-scale Power Parks to provide businesses with the power they need to transition to a clean, electric future.

Electricity demand is set to double by 2050

To reach net zero, we need the biggest transition of energy infrastructure ever seen, in the shortest amount of time.

To date the focus has been on decarbonising electricity supply, with a huge pipeline of new wind and solar capacity in development.

But with electricity demand set to double by 2050, urgent work is needed to ensure power is available at the right time, in the right places, so that critical industries can electrify and decarbonise with confidence.

Delivering power to businesses

Relode will provide businesses with the power they need to reach net zero. Our network of Power Parks will make access to power quicker, simpler and better value for the new large commercial energy users of the 2030s.

We’re focusing on commercial transport initially, specifically trucks and shipping, as well as emerging new high power demand industries, such as data centres.

Our Power Park network

We are developing an initial portfolio of approximately 15 Power Parks at strategic locations UK-wide to meet rising demand for electricity from businesses.

Each Power Park will reflect local economic and environmental priorities, creating sustainable, low carbon infrastructure that benefits local communities and supports the UK’s net zero transition.

Enabling trucks to charge quickly and efficiently on the move.
Providing electricity in large volumes for hydrogen electrolysis to produce eFuels.
Supporting short-haul electrification of ships and hybrid battery-powered vessels.
Providing ports with the power they need to electrify their operations, deliver shore-power to vessels, and produce e-fuels for green shipping.
Unlocking gigawatt-scale grid connections to deliver reliable power at scale.
Meeting rising demand for power driven by artificial intelligence and quantum computing.

The Relode opportunity

Businesses

Relode exists to make access to power quicker, simpler and better value for large commercial energy users.

Communities

We are building sustainable, low carbon infrastructure that supports economic growth, creates jobs and improves local air quality.

Electricity system

Working in partnership with network operators, we aim to transform our electricity grid and get power to the right places at the right time.

Environment

By helping energy-intensive industries to electrify, we will cut carbon and improve air quality, while investing in biodiversity net gains.

A pioneering team

Relode has been founded by core members of the Pivot Power team, who pioneered transmission-connected battery storage and electric vehicle charging on the UK grid. Together, they combine decades of experience across grid, planning, engineering and industry with a proven track record of infrastructure development and delivery.
